The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Freeze
Warning...which is in effect from 1 AM to 9 AM PST Monday. A
Freeze Watch has also been issued. This Freeze Watch is in effect
from late Monday night through Tuesday morning.

* Temperature...29 to 32 degrees on Sunday night to Monday morning.
27 to 32 degrees on Monday night to Tuesday morning.

* Locations in the warning: Many coastal areas including the
cities of Brookings, North Bend, Coos Bay and Reedsport.

* Locations in the watch: Almost all of the Southern Oregon
Coast.

* Impacts...Plants sensitive to freezing conditions can be damaged
or killed.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST MONDAY...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a High Surf
Advisory...which is in effect until 4 AM PST Monday.

* Waves and Surf...Breakers up to 25 feet are expected.

* Timing...Through Sunday night.

* Impacts...Waves will run up much higher on the beaches than
normal. These waves will be powerful and can sweep people off
jetties and other exposed rocks. They can also easily move large
logs and other beach debris. Bar crossings and the surf zone
will be dangerous due to strong currents and breaking waves

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area, producing rip currents and localized beach

* WHAT...Snow, heavy at times, expected. For the warning area,
additional snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches. For the
advisory area, additional accumulations of 1 to 4 inches
expected.

* WHERE...The Warning area includes mountain passes on Interstate
5 from Grants Pass to Roseburg, Camas Mountain on Highway 42,
and Hayes Hill on Highway 199. The Advisory is for valleys west
of the Cascades including the Umpqua, Illinois, Applegate, and
Rogue. Cities affected by the Advisory include, but are not
limited to, Medford, Ashland, Cave Junction, Grants Pass, Shady
Cove, and Roseburg.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 4 AM PST Monday. For
the Winter Weather Advisory, until 10 AM PST Monday. The heavier
snow on the lower mountain passes is expected Sunday morning.
Road temperatures and spotty precipitation will limit impacts
during the day on Sunday in the lower valleys.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Be
prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. Wet
roads Sunday afternoon will likely freeze and turn icy Sunday
night.
